Kerry’s Story
I was 37 when I found out I was perimenopausal. This had a significant impact on my life as I was trying for a baby. Being informed by a specialist that even though using IVF I still only had a 2% chance of falling pregnant, while all my friends were having children, crushed me.
I thought I was at my lowest point. And then, while feeling overwhelmed by grief at the loss of my fertility, the menopausal symptoms started. Severe night sweats, joint pain, restless legs, lack of sleep, and lowered libido. Not to mention anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts. I’d never known a low like it. On top of all of that pain, my relationship fell apart, and I was distraught. I spent a few months wallowing, allowing the menopause to consume me. Slowly but surely I clawed my way out of that pit. I started spending all my spare time researching the menopause, understanding the different, holistic ways I could heal and grow. I begun helping other women in similar situations. I created an online group for women to share their experiences and support each other, and that has grown and developed into something really special, with regular meet ups with guest speakers. I am now a qualified menopause coach, and have also developed a natural, CBD menopause supplement that is helping women across the UK.
